ABOUT ME

 I was born in 1992, in Nicosia, Cyprus, where I currently live.  I recently got my HND (Highter national diploma) at “Aigaia, school of art and design”.  I mainly like painting and illustration.  I also have a rather long history with printmaking and it’s something I like doing.  My style has been, consciously or subconsciously, affected by surrealism, artists like Max Ernst, Dali and Joan Miro and their style and techniques.  I also find inspiration in the works of late Pablo Picasso and Francis Bacon.  I seek inspiration almost everywhere, including dreams and random thoughts, trying to make my thoughts manifest into the canvas or a piece of paper. Some of them are portraying a deep meaning through hidden clues and symbolism, others are all about the emotion you feel when you look at them.  I try to see how far I can get with my starting idea, how far my mind can go, and if my hand can keep up with it.  To me art has many uses and purposes, sometimes I’m depicting what I’m unable to express with words, sometimes I’m trying to tell a story, and sometimes I’m just trying to escape reality.
